My favorite. No rules. Intelligent lyrics. The only people who really know what's going on.
As a teenager I had a bible. It was called Give Me Convience Or Give Me Death by the Dead Kennedys. That's and some Crass albums were all the preperation I needed in life.
I still went to college, got a couple degrees (for the sake of learning and not just to get a job). Protested all the wars of the past decade. Literally in the streets with
other activists. Thank you punk rock for saving my life :)
For those of you who are diving into punk for the first time, here are my suggestions: Dead Kennedys, Crass, Subhumans, Minor Threat, Descendants, and The Pixies.
