Bad Religion is a Southern
California punk rock band. It
was founded by Jay Bentley,
Greg Graffin, Brett Gurewitz ,
and Jay Ziskrout in 1979 in
Los Angeles. The band consist
of Greg Graffin, Brett
Gurewitz, Jay Bentley, Greg
Hetson, Brian Baker, Brooks
Wackerman.
They are frequently given
credit for being implicated in
the restoration of punk rock
and inspiring numerous
succeeding punk bands during
the late 1980s, and
influencing a huge number of
other punk and rock musicians
during their entire career. In
31 years since its beginning,
Bad Religion had several
changes in their line up.
Graffin is the only regular
member, though at the present,
the band features three of
their original line up.
Up to this date, Bad Religion
has released fifteen studio
albums, two EPs, three
compilation albums, two live
recordings, and two DVDs. More
or less all of their albums
were released on Epitaph
Records. The band has sold
over 5 million records
worldwide by themself, which
make the band one of the most
successful independent punk
accomplishment of all time. In
1982, Bad Religion released
its debut album How Could Hell
Be Any Worse?. With the 1988
album release "Suffer"
considered by several analysts
as one of the most exceptional
punk rock albums of all time
