In my humble opinion this was the best hip hop group of the 1990s. They only made two albums. The first one won a Grammy. The second one was so raw and real that I guess the public just didn't get it.
Of course the second album dropped right in the middle of the Gangsta rap golden era, the East/West feud was in effect, so some hippie turned black power group probably wasn't as sellable as the sex and violence formula of Gangsta rap.
If you get a chance, pick up their second album Blowout Comb. Pop it in on a long drive a night and you'll see what I mean.
