Dillinger (born with the name
Lester Bullock) is a Jamaican
reggae artist. He was born in
June 25, 1953 in Kingston,
Jamaica.
When he's growing up as a
young man in Kingston,
Dillinger like to hang out in
the El Paso sound system which
owned by Dennis Alcapone. This
eventually bring him to work
as a deejay on the Prince
Jackie and El Paso sound
systems in 1971, that was
originally motivated by Big
Youth, U Roy, and Dennis
Alcapone, and his playing as
"Dennis Alcapone Jr.". He
worked with was Lee "Scratch"
Perry (his first record
producer) who choose
"Dillinger" as Bullocks stage
name which after the gangster
John Dillinger. In the mid
1970's, he was part of the
second scene of deejay
toasters who bring to fame. He
recorded "Freshly" for Vivian
Jackson aka Yabby You in 1974
and in 1975 was a lot of
releases with a different
producers which include oseph
Hoo Kim ("CB 200"), Coxsone
Dodd ("Killer Man Jaro"), and
Augustus Pablo ("Brace a
Boy"). His song "Cocaine in My
Brain" which greatly depend
on the primary tune of "Do It
Anyway You Wanna" by the
People's Choice which greatly
known international and was a
number 1 hit in the
Netherlands
