Jimi Hendrix

What can I say about Hendrix?
Well first off - for most of
my life I completely tuned out
his music. The simple reason
why was because it was over
played on the local radio
stations. If I hear something
too much, I think I
subconsciously categorize it
as a pop and put it on the
back burner.

Then I started watching these
videos and really listening to
his music. This guy was
totally on a different level.
I'm sure the world was totally
shocked when he arrived on the
scene....

show. Watch him play guitar.
Now imagine you were growing
up in the 1960s and most of
your life music has been your
church choir and some 50s
dew-op. Then you hear this.
I’m sure you would be
completely blown away. Even
today I watch these live
performances by Hendrix and
I’m completely astounded at
his nth-dimension style of
musicianship.

Now if you notice he plays his
guitar upside down. That’s
because he was left handed. I
guess back then they didn’t
make guitars for left-handed
player, so you were forced to
play a right-handed guitar.
But the fact that we plays a
right handed guitar upside
just make Jimi’s
revolutionary style so much
more iconic.
