Luciano (born with the name
Jepther McClymont OD) is a
Jamaican second generation
roots reggae artist and poet.
H was born October 20, 1964 or
1974 in Jamaica.
He start recording in 1992
with his debut single "Ebony &
Ivory" on the Aquarius Record
label and followed in 1993
with his debut album "Moving
Up" on RAS records. He is the
seventh of nine children and
was born to highly spiritual
and parents with musical
interests, while growing up in
Daveyton (it is a small
district in the central parish
of Manchester, Jamaica). His
birthdate have been known as
1974 and occasionally in the
month of November alternately
than October. A few sources
said he was born in 1964.
Stevie Wonder, Frankie Paul
and lately reggae singer
Dennis Brown greatly
influenced his music style. It
was soon after that he changed
his nickname to Luciano while
frequently being credited to
as "Jah Messenjah" and also
during that time he's
collaborating with Fattis
Burell's Xterminator label.
After recording few LPs for
Burell, he recorded a series
for Island records before he
begin an independent career
recording. His current work to
date is his album "Jah Words"
that was released worldwide in
April 26, 2005 on the RAS
records label that features
the singles like "Angel Heart'
and "Cry for Justice".
