Bay Area hip hop group from
Oakland, CA. The Luniz were
active until 2007. The Luniz
had a spot on Tupac's One
album - but it never released.

The Luniz is a duo band from
Oakland, California. Yukmouth
and Numskull are the founding
members of the band. The band
does rap and produces music of
the Hip Hop genre. The duo
first released their single
“I got 5 on it” in 1995
which was a huge success in
many countries across the
globe. The rap song became so
popular that they cashed the
song by making its 3 versions.

The band has not remained free
of controversies and has been
in several rows with quite a
few musicians including “Too
Short” and “No Limit”.
They have yet released four
albums “Operations
Stackola” in 1995,
“Lunitik Muzik” in 1998,
“Silver and Black” in 2002
and finally “We are the
luniz” in 2005. Their
compilations include
“Bootlegs & B-Sides” and
“Greatest Hits” in 1997
and 2005 respectively.

Some worth mentioning singles
of the band are “I got 5 on
it”, “Jus Mee & U”,
“Hypnotized” and “Playa
Hata”. The rap duo enjoys a
considerable fan following.
They have a unique style and
never fail to entertain their
audience. They are destined to
