The father of modern street
skateboarding. Well I guess we
could also share this title
with Rodney Mullen and Natas.
Gonz for short, Mark Gonzales
has been the spiritual and
style leader of street skating
since the early 1990s.

In true Gonz style we didn't
try to organize this list in
any particular order. But
definitely watch his Video
Days part. For me it reminds
me of how care free 1990 was.
No one skated that year.
Skateboarding completely died,
so to skate was pure freedom.
There was no competition,
there was no image - it was
free.
