This "Motown" playlist is not
your typical playlist.
"Motown" music has no one
specific genre. I compiled
some music that Detroit has
put out over the years. It
incorporates standard Motown
recordings, R&B, punk, rock,
hip hop, techno, etc. Some of
these songs are recognizable
worldwide, others are local
anthems. Detroit may be in a
rough patch right now, but the
music endeavors never stop.
The future of music in Detroit
is bright as ever because it
is always reinventing itself.
