Formed by Liam Howlett on 1990
in Essex, The Prodigy is an
English electronic dance group
whose music styles ranges from
rave, hardcore techno,
industrial and breakbeat and
in the 90's electronic rock
with punk vocals.
The Prodigy have been credited
to be one of the pioneers of
the big beat genre along with
Fatboy Slim, The Crystal
Method and The Chemical
Brothers.
They have sold over 25 million
records since they became
public in the early 90's.
The Prodigy's first public
appearance was at the Four
Aces in London and home at
Club Labyrinth. 6 months
later, they released "Charly"
which became a huge hit in the
rave scene and even reached #3
in the UK Singles Chart.
After their American tour with
Linkin' Park, Liam Howlett
announced they will be back in
the studio recording for their
next album.
