This documentary is a real eye
opener. Even if you're not
into "Socialism", this movie
really gets into how the
United States likes to
interfere with other countries
in order get its "way" in
certain regions of the world.
In Venezuela the United States
was going to try to get a
better deal on oil and gas by
installing a government more
favorable than the Chavez
administration. Instead of
launching a full scale war
(which they couldn't because
they couldn't make up a
weapons of mass destruction
story for Venezuela), they
instead tried to paint a
picture of elected President
Hugo Chavez as a bad character
in hopes of starting a
military coup to oust him from
power.
This video goes on to discuss
other South American countries
and interviews many elected
leaders and gets their opinion
on US foreign policy. The
results are surprising!
South of the Border is a 2009
documentary film directed by
the great Oliver Stone. Oliver
Stone said that he hopes this
Doc brings a greater
understanding of Hugo Chavez.
