I just made this playlist for
Punk Rock Mama, a notorious
internet blogger :) And the
first video I found was The
Cure's A Forest. I remember
listening to this song years
ago, over and over again. I
always imagined the forest
being very dense and misty.
Like somewhere deep in the
Olympia National Forest. I
just song the original video
for this song tonight and the
forest they used in the video
is weaksauce :). It's totally
not dense and it's not misty.
Anyway, The Cure is one of my
all time favorite bands as
well, and I might add they are
some of the best live
performers I have ever seen.
As a matter of fact they are
the only band that I have seen
that actually sounded good in
a big stadium. Well, it was
the San Jose Sharks arena, but
to cover all that space with
good sound is usually a hard
feat to do, and they pulled it
off. I can't say the same for
U2 :(
This playlist contains mostly
stuff from the 1980s, which I
find to be their best stuff. I
would also say that their
album Disintegration is a
great listen to all the way
through. I've done some of my
best painting listening to
that album.
