The Specials

Been meaning to make this
playlist for some time. Hands
down my favorite band. Got to
see them in Los Angeles at the
Nokia Theater this year. The
show was amazing. Apparently
they hadn't play together in
26 years.

The real kicker to the story
was that I noticed they were
coming to town in the L.A.
Weekly months before the show
came to town. For some reason
I totally procrastinated on
buying tickets. Of course it
came down to the day before
the show for me to go online a
buy tickets and of course the
show was sold out. The next
day I drove to L.A. and
started contacting all these
people on Craigslist to see if
anyone had extra tickets. No
one had any. I got super
bummed, so I decided to just
go to the show and ask people
in line if anyone had extra
tickets. Again, no one had any
tickets. So I went to the box
office just to check to see if
they had any left and they had
one last ticket! Sometimes you
just have to will it to make
it happen :)
