If you are a country music
fan, then at some point of
time or the other, you would
have heard the song
“Courtesy of the Red, White
and Blue”, and the artist
that made the song who is
otherwise known as Toby Keith.
However, this is no one-hit
wonder as Toby has released
almost thirteen albums
alongwith several multiple
compilation albums as well
ever since he started his
career in country music as a
singer in 1993. Almost all his
album have gone gold or more,
and he has the distinction of
having about nineteen Number
One hits as well in addition
to sixteen Top Ten hits too.
With hits like ‘Beer for my
horses’ and ‘As Good as I
Once Was’ staying at the top
of the country music charts
for about six weeks each,
it’s not hard to imagine the
amount of success this man has
had over the last two decades.
His albums in the 90s were
even more successful than the
ones in the 80s as almost all
of them went platinum, with
the last one that was only
released in October 2010
called Bullets in the Gun that
has received a bit of
attention for its lyrical
content in a good way.
In addition to his music, Toby
has acted in movies such as
Broken Bridges and Beer for my
horses, of which the
latter’s script has also
been written by him. And if
that’s not enough, then his
debut song “Should’ve been
a cowboy” has the
distinction of being the most
played song of the 1990s.
